The Torrent 6100 STS
Whether you're testing a standalone SGSN, or a CGSN
(combined SGSN/GGSN), the Torrent 6100 STS offers the
same industry-leading, Third Generation characteristics
of the Torrent suite.
The Torrent 6100 SGSN Test System architecture is very similar to that
of the Torrent 5100 GTS, with the most significant
change being the introduction of the MTS-6100 Mobile Traffic Simulator for Gb/Iu interfaces:
From the user's perspective, using the SGSN Test System
is nearly identical to using the Torrent 5100 GTS, as so many of
the features, functions, and capabilities are the same.
In fact, mobile programs that ran on the Torrent 5100 GTS will also
run on the Torrent 6100 SGSN Test System. For example, the following
script:
attach sgsn sgsn1
activate apn test
ping_sync target 10.1.1.1
deactivate |
remains the same whether its a GGSN or a SGSN / CGSN that is
being tested.
Availability
The SGSN Test System is currently under development,
with release planned for 4Q06.
